BALTIMORE (April 25, 2018) – CFG Bank, a locally owned and operated community bank, recently announced the launch of two new retail banking products, Mobile Banking for Business and a Liquid IRA.
Using Mobile Banking for Business, CFG customers will be able to view their accounts, transfer funds, pay bills, and most importantly, deposit checks using their mobile devices. Many area banks do not currently offer this functionality. Checks being deposited must be individually verified, so this service is meant primarily for customers that deposit 5-10 checks per week, though there are no restrictions and no fee is required. Customers will use the same credentials as they use online and may request higher check deposit limits with an account officer, who also monitors deposit activity and makes recommendations.
In addition, CFG Bank will now offer a Liquid IRA, a product which functions as a savings account. Customers may deposit and withdraw at any time, but transactions are subject to the rules of an IRA. This new IRA primarily serves customers that need to make their contribution by the April 17th deadline, but do not yet want to commit to a Certificate of Deposit (CD) term or are waiting out the rising rate environment.
“In today’s climate, convenience and accessibility are paramount,” said Bill Knott, president of CFG Bank. “As a bank formed long ago to meet the needs of our customers, we wanted to create something that surpassed this expectation. We are thrilled to introduce Mobile Banking for Business and a Liquid IRA and are confident they will allow our customers to more effectively manage their money with the products they deserve.”
